Induction of Immune Responses and Immune Evasion by Human Bocavirus

چکیده
Respiratory tract infections are the primary cause of morbidity and mortality globally. Human bocavirus 1 (HBoV1), a member Parvoviridae family causes wide spectrum respiratory diseases in children, gastroenteritis adults. The mechanisms latency, persistence, reinfection Bocavirus poorly understood at present due to lack permissive cell lines efficient animal models. Moreover, dual HBoV other viruses further complicate study pathogenicity Bocaviruses. data on immunological consequences infection sparse. However, existing have highlighted role CD4 T cells infection. High titres HBoV-specific antibodies been detected different populations suggesting its ubiquitous prevalence. Interestingly, mechanism employed by evade immune system mostly targets type I IFN pathways pyroptotic death host cells. This review summarizes responses evoked response infection, escape virus, vaccination strategies, including antisense technology combat infections.

Immune Response of Amebiasis and Immune Evasion by Entamoeba histolytica
Entamoeba histolytica is a protozoan parasite and the causative agent of amebiasis. It is estimated approximately 1% of humans are infected with E. histolytica, resulting in an estimate of 100,000 deaths annually. Clinical manifestations of amebic infection range widely from asymptomatic to severe symptoms, including dysentery and extra-intestinal abscesses. Like other infectious diseases, it i...

Purpose Targeting cancer cells by modulating the immune system has become an important new therapeutic option in many different malignancies. Inhibition of CTLA4/B7 and PD1/PDL1 signaling is now also being investigated and already successfully applied to various hematologic malignancies. Methods A literature review of PubMed and results of our own studies were compiled in order to give a comp...

Objective(s): Blocking of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays a pivotal role in inhibition of metastasis and is a target for development of anti-angiogenic agents. In this study, a peptide-based vaccine was designed and its potential for induction of humoral immune responses, generation of neutralizing antibodies, inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis w...
